We organise tailor-made half-day or one-day biodiversity explorations for companies, institutions, and schools. Want a unique outing or team-building event? We will come with a mobile lab, a team of experts, and guide you in the discovery of the hidden biodiversity just outside your office or in a neighbourhood greenspace.

BIODIVERSITY COURSES

In our well-equipped lab space in Leiden, we hold a variety of indoor courses on insects, biodiversity, DNA, and microscopy, with outdoor field activities where necessary. Taught by international experts, these are pre-organised but can also be tailor-made to suit your wishes and demands. We also bring our mobile lab to wherever you are and provide on-site courses of any length.

eDNA METABARCODING COURSE

Looking for a way to quickly assess biodiversity? Look no further than environmental DNA! This cutting-edge method is becoming the top choice for assessing diversity in record time. Geared towards environmental scientists and graduate biologists, this course will teach you the newest and most innovative techniques for biodiversity assessment using environmental DNA. INSECTS FOR EXPATS COURSE IN LEIDEN

This is the first English-language course on insects for a general audience. During two weekends filled with lectures and hands-on training from our best entomologists, both in the lab and outdoors, you will get basic knowledge on:

• What different types of insects are there?
• What are their roles in the environment?
• How do you find, study, and identify insects?
• How can you help and protect them in your own home and garden?

The course will be held in a location in walking distance from Leiden Central Station.
